About Bob O'Kelley

Text Box: This is rather hard for me to do. Talking about myself has never been easy for me. At this writing, I am sixty years old. I grew up in Southwest Atlanta, Ga. I am one of the rather rare Atlanta natives. I graduated from West Georgia College in 1970 and was immediately drafted. I served  as an infantry soldier in Viet Nam. I am married to Anne, who is a wonderful woman. She keeps me straight and I thank God for her. We live in North Georgia and have three grown children. The above picture was taken last June in London.
My work experience has been rather scattered. I have worked of Dun and Bradstreet and I have driven trucks and just about every thing in between . I did not start writing until just a couple of year ago when Wayne Lankford asked me to help with the Foster’s Store project. I have done few thing in my life well. It has been a rare thing to hear my name and talented in the same sentence, but one day someone said that to me about my writing, and that did it. I was hooked. I love to write.
As to how I ended up in Iraq. An acquaintance told me about the job .I knew that I had the right stuff for it. I could drive a truck and I had been in combat. I applied for it and got it. It’s that simple. While I am in Iraq Anne is finishing the degree that she abandoned many years ago.
You may reach me at okelleybob2@hotmail.com. I cannot promise that I will be able to answer all my mail. This is a seven day a week twelve hours a day job, and sometime I am away for a week or so without access to a computer, but I am very interested in what you have to say.
