About Foster's Store

It was the most uncomfortable time
of my life. We didn’t know whether to love our country or hate it. Every value
was challenged. The draft loomed overhead. Everything was changing but we didn’t
know where it was going. We were young and confused. America was confused.
America was redefining itself.
This is the back drop for Fosters Store, a book about the late sixties and early
seventies. Foster’s Store was a old country grocery store that was converted
into housing for West Georgia College students. I live there and the principal
author of the book, Wayne Lankford lived there. The book is more than our
remembrances. It accurately describes the feeling of the times. The craziness is
there the insecurity is there and you can feel the pain.
Wayne and I are very good friends and we are very different. His views and web
page are quite different form mine. Politically we are a bit like Hannity and
Colmes, only I am not as hansom as Shaun Hannity and Wayne is not as ugly as
Allen Colmes. (poor Allen).
Why don't you check out the Foster's Store Website for yourself.
